The Flower Market, Pescia, Italy

The Ministry of Agriculture built this suspension building to house the flower market in the city of Pescia. Later, the Ministry turned the possession and operation of the facility over to the city, where a large number of commercial potted and cut flower growers are located.

Here's what it looked like inside on a busy early morning. Wholesale, commercial brokers and florists come here and purchase new materials coming in from Pescia and around Europe / Asia.
Dyed goldenrod (Solidago).
Fresh stems of cut gladioli (Gladiolus x hybridus)

We won't show you everything you saw; if you're interested in more, check out Neil's blog on the University of Minnesota UThink blog site.  He'll post more information on this soon.
